Elijah Rising Celebrates Open House and Ribbon Cutting for New Expansion to Support Trafficking Survivors

Elijah Rising is excited to invite the Houston community to an Open House and Ribbon Cutting on Saturday, December 7, 2024, from 9:00 AM to Noon at 402 Teetshorn St. This event marks the expansion of our headquarters to include new offices dedicated to providing enhanced restorative care and resources for survivors of sex trafficking.

This expansion adds vital spaces to support survivors in their healing journey, including a private counseling room, case management, restorative care and recovery staff offices and ample storage space for outreach supplies. These facilities further enable our team to offer individualized, trauma-informed support and comprehensive case management for survivors as they rebuild their lives.

The expansion was made possible through a generous grant from Passages for Women, a Houston organization with a legacy spanning over 40 years of providing housing and recovery support for women facing substance abuse and mental health challenges. Although Passages for Women no longer operates a recovery home, their commitment to empowering women lives on through this grant, sown into our mission to end sex trafficking and to support survivors.

Open House Details:

  • Date: Saturday, December 7, 2024
  • Time: 9:00 AM – Noon
  • Location: 402 Teetshorn St., Houston, TX

Attendees will enjoy hot apple cider, holiday treats, Christmas shopping, a tour of our headquarters, and a virtual tour of our safe home. The ribbon-cutting ceremony for our new space will highlight the impact of community support and provide an opportunity to learn more about our work. Join us to meet our team, discover ways to get involved, and celebrate this important milestone in our mission to make Houston a safer place.
