Research is important to the movement to end human trafficking. Our experiences on the streets and in brothels are anecdotal, but research helps to provide credibility and insight into the fight against trafficking. We had the opportunity to interview an expert researcher on human trafficking. She has contributed so many statistics and insight to our presentations and the way we talk about trafficking.
In this episode, we talk to Dr. Vanessa Bouché about her research on human trafficking in cities like Houston. Dr. Bouché is an Associate Professor of Political Science at TCU, creator of HumanTraffickingData.org, and co-founder of Savhera, a wellness company providing employment to survivors of sex trafficking in India and the U.S.
